About ICSET 2018


This 16th International conference will serve as a great platform with excellent forum of academicians and experts from industries for sharing knowledge and results in the field of Life sciences, Engineering and Technology along with the managerial aspects. The main objective is to promote research and developmental activities in all the domains to facilitate information exchange between researchers, developers, engineers and students working around the world. Concepts, Papers and Products that develop new ideas or theories, attempt to advance our understanding of real world phenomenon, and/or address any of the key research themes are encouraged. Concepts & Papers may take an individual or organizational perspective. Selected papers will be published in Scopus-indexed International Journals or book series or conference proceedings.

About VIT

School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCOPE)


The mission of the School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCOPE) is to persistently strive for achieving excellence in computing disciplines. It is being pursued through its spectrum of academic programmes in computing of contemporary standards. The sustained effort is to produce computing graduates with potential to design and develop systems involving the integration of software and hardware devices; innovative approaches to programming and problem solving as well as creative ways to use Computers; Large scale software systems; and computing infrastructure of an organization.
History of computing discipline at VIT dates back to 1993, when the Department of Computer Science & Engineering was established to meet the demand for well-qualified computer professionals. The School of computer science and engineering. (SCOPE) was conceived in the year 2009.
At present, the School headed by Dr. Arunkumar T, has more than 5200 students and 153 core faculty members apart from many visiting professors, distinguished professionals from industry, eminent researchers and teaching/ research assistants. With an aim to carve a niche for itself in Computer Science and allied domains, the School strives to:

  • Become a pioneering world-class centre of excellence in education and research through collaborative, consultative and participatory approaches
  • Nurture effective capabilities for the development of high quality technical and scientific manpower to meet the challenges of the knowledge era
  • Provide cost-effective Information and Communication Technology (ICT)-based solutions and value-added services to a variety of organisations and to meet the expectations of stakeholders
The school has one of the best infrastructure including domain-specific labs associated with the above technical divisions- many of these labs are sponsored by industry leaders e.g. IBM, Cisco, Sun Microsystems, Red Hat and Microsoft. The School has a good record of organising seminars, workshops, symposia and conferences in emerging technological areas.

Vellore City


Vellore is the headquarters of Vellore District, located on the bank of Palar River in the north-eastern part of Tamilnadu and was ruled by the Pallavas, Medieval Cholas, Later Cholas, Vijayanagar Empire, Rashtrakutas, Carnatic Kingdom and the British. Vellore is located   about   145   km west   of   the   state   capital Chennai and 211 km   east of Karnataka capital Bengaluru. It is the base of two of India's top ten educational institutions, Christian Medical College & Hospital and VIT. Vellore region is the top exporter of finished leather goods in the country and it accounts for 37% of the country's export of leather and leather-related products. Vellore Fort, Government Museum, Science   Park, Vainu Bappu Observatory, Amirthi   Zoological   Park, Jalakandeswarar Temple, Srilakshmi Golden Temple,   Big   Mosque,   St. John's Church and Yelagiri Hill station are the tourist attraction in and around Vellore.
